Long Weekend

This was taken early in the morning
As the 19th of April (Monday) was a holiday, it meant that we had a super long weekend. Thus the four of us (Ivan, Dean, Camy and myself) decided to go for a short vacation in Pangkor Island. It's some sort of a replacement plan to our initial 'After batch dinner After party' which was to be held on Friday night. Due to some unavoidable circumstances, some of us couldn't make it and thus came along the plan to go visit Pangkor Island.
We departed early Saturday morning from UTP, stopped by Setiawan for chicken rice breakfast and headed on to Lumut to catch our ferry. As soon as we checked in at the inn, we rented bicycles and went cycling round island. Mind you, it isn't an easy feat as there were lots of hills to be scaled under the scourging hot sun. At some point, all of us just couldn't cycle up the 20degrees incline anymore, so we started pushing our bikes. When we finally finished the round and were back at Sungai Pinang town, we were totally exausted, but we felt a great sense of achivement.
From there on, the ride back to our inn at Teluk Nipah, was mostly a level road with only one final hill. The ride downhill for the last hill can only be described as awesomely fantastic. At that point i just let go of the bike brakes and enjoyed the downhill sprint with the wind rushing against my face. Once the rest of them arrived back at the entrance of the inn, we rushed to get iced cocunut juice. It was simply heavenly considering the heat and how hot we were feeling after the ride.
After cooling off abit, we headed to the beach for our water sports which included kayak-ing, banana boat ride, water wrestling among ourselves, throwing sand around, swimming and lounging in the sea. Guess after all those activities, it explains why I'm three tones darker than my original skin tone and achy all over. After dinner, we drained what remaining energy we had playing cards and hit the bed.
All in all, I have been to Pangkor numerous times throughout my uni days, but this is the first time I have done so much that I've never done before there in less than one day. Although I was really tired when we reached UTP late sunday afternoon and a chocolatey coloured tann to boot, I definitely enjoyed myself with my crazily wonderful bunch of friends. ^_^
P.S: Credits to Ivan and Dean for taking the cycling pictures.
