Medication day...

Fever, Flu and cough. The complete package of illness. It’s never fun being sick. Taking medication… bedrest… abstinence from solid food . And reduced to a diet of hot milo and plain bread. Well, if you’re lucky, you’ll probably get some jam on the bread… I believe you’d agree with me. Totally not fun at all right? But this is basically what happens when one falls sick.

Food which seemed icky and yucky when healthy could become so mouth-watering and tempting when you’re sick and stuck on a strict diet… huhuhuhu… Bad day… hopefully can have home cooked noodles by tomorrow. Keeping my fingers crossed.

I'm sure most people would agree with me that traffic jams are not very pleasant experiences. No matter whether they are the passengers or the driver. Yeap.. it's really annoying.... However, it's something thats very common in KL... as we all know... Traffic jams are normally at its worst before office hours and also after office hours. .... Haih, which is why, it is still more reliable to use transportation number elecven (especially for short distances). But then of course, most of us are LazY to actually move our legs to walk more than necessary. Thus, happy joining the traffic jam crawl. :-P

Wet and narrow walkways. A whole lot of different smells which assault the senses. Most of which are not exactly pleasant aromas. Nope, a back alley, it's the morning market. Well personally, the market isn't exactly 'The place' which I would like to go. Especially early in the morning when it's still nice to snuggle up in bed under the blanket. But anyway today is marketing day. The day my mom restocks the refrigerator with food which will become delicious dishes when cooked. Yummy Yummy Yummy.... So, being appointed the temporary driver for my mom, I 'escorted' her to the Pudu Market. Hehehe... Here's some of what's found at Pudu Market.

Personally, was rather excited about this outing cause was finally going to meet my ex-roomie, Jo Lin. (who happens to be my schoolmate and classmate for 5 consequtive years in secondary school). Of course, was also gona meet my fellow coursemate Dean, along with Jim and Miki. Probably the last time seeing both Dean and Jim for the year since both of them will most probably be flying off to Aussie, the land of koalas and kangaroos next month. All the best guys..

Anyway, we didn't really have a fixed plan on what exactly we were gona do. Couldn't decide what movie to watch, since some had already watched some movies and there weren't many choices left. Subsequently, we decided to meet up first, and then discuss what to do over lunch. Here's where the funny part begins, I happened to spot a bunch of my school friends and classmates. So it's like a mini reunion of CBNers. About ten minutes later Dean's schoolmates pass by pulak. Another mini reunion of the Johanians... Well, guess that's why lunch took longer than usual with all the reunions goin on

Subsequently, we decided to go bowling. Well, can say it was bowling for the rest of them but drain ball time for me. Somehow, it will end up rolling into the drain somewhere along the alley. Hahaha.. At one point, all my scores were 1's and the total was 11. Probably not my lucky day to play bowling but it's my lucky day with the number 1 :-P

After that, was of course, picture time. An outing is never complete without snapping tons of picture. Hehehehe. as usual, all of us are kinda picture freaks. Love to smile, pose, make funny faces and look nice in pictures. :-P

Unity in Diversity

Unity in diversity...a theme that i came across today which I thought worth sharing.

In simple English, individuals should be complementing one another instead of competing with one another. It is so very true that every one in the world is competing with one another to have or to be the best of the best. All are obsessed with getting the best car, best job, best results, etc... best anything that one can think of. To some extent, we actually even forget the true reason why we work hard to achieve something, because we are more focused on competing with one another.

Instead of competing, one could definitely bring about a more caring and sharing society by complementing one another. "We are all individually different and have our own strength and weaknesses. But by standing together and working as one, we complement each other to become something better".

A simple example for understanding the statement above. The carnation, rose and lily are 3 different types of flowers. Each have different colour, shape, fragrance and size individually,but still a flower nonetheless. They have their differences just like we humans have our differences with one another. But when we put these 3 types of flowers together, a beautiful and fragrant bouquet of flowers can be made because the flowers complement the beauty of one another. Just like the flowers, we can practice the same concept in our daily lives regardless of the disagreements and differences among one another.

Unity in diversity ... truly something that all of us should realize and practice because the world is not us about our selfish selves, but also everyone else around us.

and that's my brunch for the day. Been ages since i had fast food let alone Mc D... Need i say more??? Since i haven't got to eat Mc D for quite a while, it tasted soooooo nice... Good old days

Emotions... can cause a person to cry wen watching a sad soap drama. Emotions could also make a person laugh like a mad cow when watching a comedy. And at times, emotions could make a person have a radiant smile thinking of a precious and special memory. Emotions... something that cannot be seen but in some way, something which affects a person dramatically. At times, it is not what the mind wants because emotions has a ways of overcoming logic...

You all must be thinking that I'm starting to go bonkers already writing something so serious and philosophical. Actually, it's almost 1am in the morning now and i just wanted to past some time before crashing to bed and start being a ~~~PIG~~~

My actual thought was actually that of the meeting I had with my schoolmates the day before yesterday. Come to think of it, I probably haven't seen them for like well over a year. All except Cyan la. Will definitely meet up with her without fail every time i come back. :-P
No offense to the rest of you guys reading this but somehow, Cyan has a psychic way of knowing I'm back in town or gonna be back in town for holidays. Hmmm.... A little bit scary at times actually. But anyway, back to the topic.

As I was saying before, it's been totally ages since i last saw them. I didn't realise i actually missed those high school times i had with them daily back then. Perhaps it can be said that, I saw them so often everyday, that to some extent, it didn't really matter whether i saw them or not. But at this point now, I realised that in some way, all of us have take our own different paths and changed in some way... Not only physically but also interest wise. Well, this supports the saying that time changes a person.

Those were the good old days when all we had to worry about was attending classes, finish projects and make sure that we reach tuition class on time. Fairly simple daily routine... Well, the concept for NOW is actually pretty much the same. Except that now some probably have to include a boyfriend or two into the schedule. Add in the fact that every one's studying something totally different and unrelated to one another's course or probably even doing internship already. And of course there's always the very important question of where is one studying. For a fact, we all know that i am stuck in Super Hot Dessert Campus of University of Technology PETRONAS while most of my friends are studying around KL area. (At least for the time being till some of them go over to Singapore).

Somehow, we had all drifted apart because of our different interests, priorities and exposure.. However, I'm totally glad that made an effort to meet up and have a long long talk over lunch over recent happenings. And then of course there was the usual movie trip to the cinema to watch a movie. It's normally a totally scary movie or a totally funny movie which will make us laugh like mad cows. It was great meeting up with friend and exchanging experience and doing things we used to do. But what i really treasure the most is the feeling of kinship among these friends of mine which I have never found anywhere else thus far. Of course, there were times when we had our disagreements and crazy moments. But it has only served to bind us close to one another up till now.

Thanks guys for being friends and staying friends throughout the years under every circumstance. Love you all and will always cherish, remember miss you all.

Guess i'll be stopping for the night to crash into bed now. Oyasuminasai.. ZZZZZZZZ

Discipleship Camp 2007~

As mentioned in the previous post. i was away for 3 days on a church camp at Genting highlands. For the first time i was joining a camp not as a participant but as a facilitator... hahaha.. Facilitating my sister and another 40 kids. But it was a totally memorable experience. I'm glad everything planned turn out rather well and the children had a great time as well

But what i really gained from this camp was not the experience of how to organize camps. It was also the knowledge to handle unexpected situations and the importance of tolerance and cooperation. Most importantly, in line with the theme of discipleship, i learned that in order to be good leader, one must also be a good follower. It is true that it is difficult to be an obedient follower at most times. Especially if one is not in agreement with the leader. Thus, here in comes the importance of tolerance and understanding among one another.

No individual is 100% perfect. If we were all perfect, we could be gods of our own worlds and boy would the world be in a mess. For if all were bosses, who would be the followers? Of course we are bound to have our objections and our own opinions, but any decision should be made for the betterment of all parties and not for personal gain.

These are all actually very basic morals which we have been taught since we were toddlers. But sometimes, it takes an experience to really know the true meaning of it.

Guess that's quite enough of serious talk. Let's have a look at some of the crazy and memorable moments of

Totally tired out from the 3 days two nights church camp held at Villa Dominic Genting Highlands. It's located somewhere near Genting View Resort. A place with totally awesome scenery. This post is basically about some of the scenery pictures i managed to capture during the camp. I think my blogs gonna be really green after this....

Anyway, a post regarding the camp itself will be up soon. So for the time being, happy viewing. ;-P

Bonjour.

Just thought of putting up this post regarding a french movie that i watched today in conjunction with the French Film Festival at Mid Valley Megamall. The movie entitled 'Priceless' (hors de prix) starring Audrey Tautou, and Gad Elmaleh was totally worth watching.

In my opinion, it was a really interesting movie despite the fact that I kinda missed out on the first ten minutes of the movie because the subtitles couldn't be seen. This was due to some technical problem with the projection. Fortunately everything was back in order pretty soon. On the whole, the movie was totally enjoyable even though it had a rather predictable storyline like most typical western love stories. However, the essence which made this movie unique are the funny and hillarious scenes sandwiched here and there. There were also scenes which kept me at the edge of my seat wondering what would happen next. Was totally laughing and giggling in the cinema most of the time.

Thanks for recommending the show Cyan!! Really enjoyed it. :-P

By the time we finish chowing down all the food, we were full to the brim. Well, considering the huge servings there, I suppose it's kinda normal right?? I'm starting to think I'm a bit crazy when it comes to eating, :-P, especially when I'm back in KL. Check out the snapshot of the yummy yummy food we had for lunch.
