DREAMS AND MEMORIES

 

 

When Mei Li and I first made our way here, we were aiming to have a buffet lunch. Unfortunately upon arrival, we were informed that the buffet is only for dinner T_T  Anyhow we settled for the Ala-Carte and set meals all the same and was shown to a cozy corner with a fabulous window view of Jalan Sultan Ismail by one of the friendly kimono dressed waitress [Of which Mei Li had plenty of opportunity to cuci mata  from our corner I might add]

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

There was just so much to choose from the in the Ala-Carte menu. so after some considerable amount of thinking we finally made our choices. Mei Li settled for the Unagi Kabayaki Zen while I chose the Sho-Kado Bento. 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

We added another Spider Maki to be shared among the both of us – which we agreed was a good decision in unison when it arrived and we were devouring it. On the whole, we both agreed that our main favourites were the Unagi. Tempura and the Spider Maki

 

Honestly, I have passed the building where this Restaurant is situated almost everyday my entire life living in KL without knowing they served such great food here. Everything served was simply amazing and we were rather full that the walk back to KLCC was a welcomed exercise to help make some room in our tummies before our movie Killers.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Despite having to plough through several other movie watchers to get to our seats (Especially the two horrible possibly perverted men who didn’t even bother to move their legs the slightest bit so that we could get to our seats) I’m glad to say that I still thoroughly enjoyed the movie. But maybe I’m biased because Ashton Kutcher’s in the movie and he was simply sizzling in the movie – especially the elevator scene in the beginning. *SQUEALSSS*

Treated my family to Shrek on Friday evening. Very worth watching, even if it’s just to laugh your head off with the familiar and well loved characters. At the same time, it’s also a refreshment course for philosophies and values of life.

The creators of Shrek have done a great job by giving the story line an interesting twist and adding in characters like Rumpelstiltskin. Puss in Boots has a slightly ‘different’ appearance in this movie, but he’s still so adorable with those ‘big-round-pitiful-begging-eyes’. I shall refrain from further elaborating the story line to avoid spoilers for those of you who have not watch yet.

Oh yes, two words have been stuck with me since watching the movie. Still have me giggling to myself when I think of it

1)  Ri-donk-ulous  [Ridiculous]

2)  Cat-tastrophe [Catastrophe]

 

 

Went to my favourite sushi place, with Mei Li yesterday. ^_^

 

I was practically counting down the hours to not only have a generous intake of Sushi but also to meet up with Mei Li. Yeay!!! So upon arrival, the two of us headed straight for ‘Kiku Zakura’ located on the same floor as the cinema of MidValley.

 

 

 

We two hungry wolves then ordered two of the must haves at Kiku Zakura which is the “Kiku Zakura Maki” and also the “Yaki Gyoza”. Just thinking of it and looking at the pictures makes my mouth start to water all over again.

 

To top it all of, we also ordered a ‘Fuji Zakura Bento’ which has a combination of Tempura prawns, scallops, salmon sashimi and unagi sushi rolls. All served in a huge Bento box accompanied by Miso soup, dessert and a salad.

 

  

It was a superbly wonderful and enjoyable lunch that we had there.Bidding our time eating and chit chatting and of course not forgetting, snapping pictures of the wonderfully presented food.

 

 

Next up, we watched the movie ‘Did You Hear About the Morgans’. A typical romantic comedy starring Sarah Jessica Parker and Hugh Grant. And finally, we did a little shopping. Both of us got a new wallet and it’s the exact same design and colour.

 

Oh yes, I also glimpsed some of ‘The Gardens’ Chinese New Year Deco and couldn’t resist a few shots of the fascinating colours.

 

 

Was great hanging out with you Mei Li. Can’t wait for our next outing and hopefully Debbie can join us too the next time.

 

PS : Debbie, if you’re reading this, faster come down to KL during a long weekend or something with Mei Li so we can go sushi eating and shopping together. ^_^

This is simply an awesome movie. Still haven’t been able to find words to describe the experience. It’s like being projected into an imaginary world which only existed in dreams and like dreams, there are boundless possibilities where anything can happen.

Watching this movie in 3D made it all the more interesting. Was on the edge of my seat for most part of the 3 hours duration. Definitely worth watching for those of you who have not yet watched it yet. The effects should be good enough without 3D but if you don’t mind spending a little bit more, then go for 3D. ^_^

I came across this book with a rather interesting front cover at the bookstore when shopping with my sister a few days back. So now, take a good look at the picture of the guy and girl on the front cover.

So, being a fanatic over korean drama series some time back, I remember watching this series called ‘Love Story in Harvard’.

‘Love Story in Harvard’ was a rather big hit at some time and so technically when one Googles up picture for that particular series, there will definitely be plenty of search results. I remember seeing a picture of the two main cast of the series which was somewhat similar to that of the front cover of the book above.

Below is a comparison of the two pictures. In my humble and personal opinion, they both look pretty much the same to me. Neglecting the colour pencil effect and the rose which drawn just above the authors name that is.

I didn’t actually purchase the book so I’m not sure if it is an actual translation of the series into a Malay Language book [which would explain the similarity of the pictures]. Perhaps I should have purchased the book to appease my curiosity after all.

I decided to treat my parents to a movie last night since my mom’s birthday is just around the corner. As she’s not really into all the action packed kind of movies, and Ice Age 3 being a family movie would definitely be more suitable for her.

They’ve not actually tried the 3D version of movies before, thus guess it was worth treating them to one for experience sake. (^_^) So off we went to Pavilion for the movie.

The movie was super duper funny. There were so many things to laugh about in almost every scene be it because of the individual characters personality [such as Sid the sloth] or because of what is happening in the scene itself. This would be like the never ending chase of the acorn by the squirrel. Only this time, add in a competitive flying fox into the picture.

A movie well worth watching especially if you’re in for a laugh. Or even if you just want to spend time with your family and friends.

I finally got about to watching Transformers 2 : The Revenge of the Fallen yesterday and it was AWESOME!!

Was at the edge of my seat wondering what was in store in the next scene. The effects were cool and amazing. On the whole a totally satisfying movie with a good combination of humour, action, and a good solid story plot. Been waiting to watch this movie with group of friends since it first went on screen but had to keep putting it off for one reason or another.

Anyway, am glad I watched it before trudging back to my ‘hot jungle’ university to roast for the coming semester. Thank goodness its the final semester. One more stretch to go and then I’ll be done. Yippiee!!!

While passing time before the movie, had dinner with my friend at Dragon-i. I got into my photo taking frenzy again and took some pictures of our yummy dishes. ^_^
