Gua Tempurung + Water Rafting

Honestly, I was not really looking forward to the first part of this outing which was the Gua Tempurung Expedition. In some ways, you can say that I was rather 'chicken' of the whole caving expedition idea.


Nevertheless, I didn't want to be left out while my bunch of friends forged on ahead. So bundling up my whole load of fears, I tagged along with them on that cool cloudy Tuesday morning. There were some worries as among the requirements for the tour to be carried out was that there had to be a minimal of 8 ppl to a group before a tour can be carried out. Unfortunately, there were only four of us so we had to keep waiting and waiting for the other people to turn up. Was a rather long wait but it finally paid off


Once we started our expedition, the phrase 'there's no turning back now' kept replaying in my head. Everything was dark, wet and muddy. And obviously, witha mini torchlight, I could only see a mini distance infront of me. I might have actually expressed my fear throughout the expedition more times than I recall, but seriously, it was no easy feat to complete the entire expedition. Of all, the climbing part proved the most challenging for me and it was also the scariest part of it all. By the time we completed the expedition, my whole body had numerous bumps, bruises and scratches as reminders of that expedition. 


Our next expedition was Water Rafting which was much more interesting and not as scary as the Gua Tempurung Expedition. Of course, I did drink my fair share of the 'teh tarik' coloured river water while they were teaching us to swim and float should we fall into the river while rafting. Unlike Gua Tempurung, this expedition required us to put our arm muscles to good use. All in all, we were all half dead zombies tring to make our way back home by the time we finished all we had planned for the day. 


There were scary parts, dangerous parts, fun parts, and of course hillarious parts throughout the trip, but all in all, it was a wonderful experience with plenty of memories to keep. Thank you guys for 'dragging' me along to join in the fun and being so supportive.   ^_^


PS: Apologies for not having any pictures for this post, but it was really rather impossible to carry a camera for both of the expeditions.

Crazy Shopping Spree

My outing to Ipoh with camy yesterday was supposedly only to do several things. However, it somehow turned into some sort of a crazy shopping / eating spree. 

We were initially supposed to stop by at Jusco to get the movie tickets for Wolverine:Origins in advance for the following day. Unfortunately, we couldn't resist the temptation to watch another movie on our own that day. Thus, we ended up watching A Night in the Museum 2.  

A really enternaining, and funny movie on the whole and both Camy and I definitely enjoyed it to the max. We didn't even realise the time flying by.

Would definitely recommend this movie to those of you who have yet to watch it.
Also, to kill some time before our movie, we decided to go makan makan, and that's how we ended up going for sushi king and having our regular favourites and of course trying out some new things as well. Ohh... i definitely miss sushi.. Aaaahhhh

CANT WAIT TO GO BACK TO KL TO HAVE MORE SUSHI!!!

Done for the semester

Finally~~

I'm done with my four final papers of this semester. My semester break has officially started. Will be hanging around campus for a while though. Have some outing plans to be executed along with my bunch of friends. Now we're all waiting on dean to finish his last paper which is 'Mobile Comm-it suicide' as he has named it then off we go for our adventures.

This semester has been full of many surprises. Both the good, the bad and the unexpected. It was a rocky and downhill start initially. However, thanks to my wonderful friends and parents, things gradually improved to be fantastically great. 

Amidst all the excitement that I've finished my final exams and all, I can't help feeling a little sad that some of my closest friends would be graduating soon. Time has really flown by and without really realising it, I've actually been in UTP for 4 and a half years already. One more semester to go!!

I must say though, that it has been one of the best, most relaxed semesters that I've had in UTP. Let's hope I didn't slack too much but can only really tell when the grades for finals are out. Till then, let's not worry first and enjoy sem break to the max.

Coming soon, on the list of To-do things would be
1. Gua Tempurung expedition
2. Wide Water Rafting
3. Penang trip!!!
4. Standard Charted Marathon run

At least that's what we have planned for now.  Am really looking forward to the later 3 agendas.  Hopefully there's more things to plan and do once we get back to KL. ^_^
