Boot Camp Session

For the past few entries, I've been talking about the Boot Camp which has been ongoing for the past two weeks and ended just last friday. There's actually plenty more pictures which we took together. But i guess it's time for a bunch of more serious looking pictures.Else people will be thinking all we people ever do is eat, and take pictures and visiting places

All of the visitors have now left for home and the office is going to be more or less back to the regular not so crowded routine. But still, have a feeling that I'm going to miss seeing them around in office. And it might get just a little dull. I really hate goodbyes.

Night outing at Luna Bar

This is an unofficial social event with the Boot Camp folks and some other team members. We went to Luna Bar, which is located at Menara Pan Global. It's very near KL tower and Shang-gri La Hotel. The view is absolutely breathtaking. The setting of the place is really nice as well with a pool next to the bar which is located at the rooftop of the building.

And of course, it's a great place to socialize, chill out, have a drink and snap lots and lots of pictures. :-)

In times like these, I wish I had my own camera to snap more pictures though. Sad to say, the Olympus Camera which has been serving my family faithfully for the past 5 years has officially 'Retired' due to unidentified ailments. I know, I'm exaggerating it just a little bit. But the bottom line is, I don't have a good camera - other than my 2.0 Megapixel Phone to take some syiok sendiri pictures on rare occasions ( ^ _ ^ )

In the mean time, I will make do with whatever that I have by gathering pictures taken with other people's camera and using my phone when I really really have to while surveying for a new camera

GI-NG Mini Get Together : Pantry Meet

The Mini Get Together is a weekly recurrence meeting which happens every week on Wednesdays in the Pantry. Each department will provide updates on progress, actions and issues which are being looked into with regards to the GI-NG project.

And then of course, once that is done, there will be the most interesting part which is FREE FOOD!!

When I first joined, the mini get together was more of like a morning coffee break which had finger food such as curry puffs, or sandwiches and some tea or coffee served. Of which some people would just skip sometimes and head straight for lunch once the meeting is adjourned.

However, as of late, the meetings have progressed to be even longer as there are more updates to be presented, of which came the idea of having the pantry meet stretch on to be a lunch session in the pantry. A really good idea in my opinion because it provides the opportunity for people to mix around

(besides it being free and all).

And since they changed the catering company from the cafeteria guy at Wisma 2 to JUMBO CATERING, the food has improved pretty much, with lots of variety and of course, is always on time with sufficient amount to go around all project members. So far, we've been having different types of dishes every week for the past two months... uhuu... now that's really nice. :-)

GI-NG Boot Camp - Welcome Dinner

As promised before, for the next few posts, I'll be updating about the social events and outings that were conducted in conjuction with the GI-NG Boot Camp.

First up is the team welcome dinner.This was held at a restaurant in Taipan-USJ called Las Carretas. There were about 20+ of us there. And this was one of the great opportunities to mix around, talk, have fun and of course.. most importantly, to eat.

I think you can all guess based on the name of the restaurant that the highlighted dishes are mainly Mexican food. Yummy yummy. Didn't take much pictures of the food though. but thre are plenty of shots with team members.
