Chinese New Year and Christmas are two of the major occasions which calls for a grand gathering of all the uncles, aunties, granduncles, grandaunts and of course not forgetting my beloved cousins.

There’s always plenty to eat – definitely more than enough for second and third helpings to go around for all – and with lots of leftovers to be shared out as well. There’s a huge variety of home cooked dishes to be savored among family members.

Of course besides the food, it is the best time to get reacquainted with other members of the family which I rarely get to see throughout the year. Here’s to commemorate another wonderful reunion dinner to welcome the new year.

The Yee Sang which is a must have every year

an overview of part of the food which were served that night - some dishes were still in their respecitve pots and pans so can't be fitted in.

A dish by my mom - inspired from a picture in a newspaper cutting

One of my favourites - yeam + roastpork

Prawn Salad

One out of the 3 steamed chickens..
