A Day At The Mall With My Cousins
Finally, the long awaited outing with my cousins. Been talking and talking about going out together for like ages but somehow never managed to make it happen. But anyway, we finally made a finalised plan on Christmas Day to meet on the 28th of December at Mid Valley Megamall.
However, we (as in me, my sis, cousin sis Kim and cousin bro John) had to make a slight detour trip to Bank Pertanian Malaysia near central market. Kesian Kim, had to make a second trip back to the bank with 3 escorts because of a name error on the bank book.
The funniest part about this detour trip was the part where we had to wait for our turn. The number which we go at that time was number 30. And the number which was currently being called at that point of time was amazingly number "SIXXX". We were all like, "okay, that's gona be a long long long wait...."
But lucky for us. after reaching number 13, lots of people, who's numbers were called weren't there. And because there wasn't anyone standing up consecutively, from number 13 till number 18, the four of us started to fall into the chant of "press the button, press the button" in hopes that the lady will continue pressing the button to change the numbers fast. Seems that we were in luck that day as she stopped at number 27 and soon enough.... it was our turn..
So after that, it was back into the car and off towards Mid Valley Megamall. We arrived roughly around 10.30 at Mid Valley, so basically we had to kill time till our other cousin bro Bryan arrived. We had this deal that whoever arrived later than 11.45 will haf to buy the rest of the gang lunch... nyeh nyeh nyeh.... And since we were there first, the four of us bought the tickets to our movie 'Alvin and the Chipmunks' and proceeded on to kill some time by walking around the mall or 'trudging' around the mall as Kim put it.
Since the four of us didn't have time for breakfast, our stomachs were practically growling with hunger as we walked on and on and on. Finally, our cousin brother arrived around 12pm and all of us decided to have lunch at Manhattan Fish Market. Kim said she was very super hungry till she could start eating the coasters and munching off the table. :-P
Well, I could agree with her on the super hungry part but as for munching the coasters, erm, don't think I was that desperate yet.
Anyway, before we proceed any further, let me first introduce my cousins who were present that day.
Now, let's have a look at what we had for lunch that day. As u can gather, we were eating at the Manhattan Fish Market. So obviously basically everything has something to do with fish. Except the drinks of course. Below are pictures of some of the yummy yummies we had ..
We also noticed some rather interesting deco on the wall. couldn't resist asking my cousin bro to snap some pictures.
After lunch, we killed some time first before going for our movie. It was a really funny and enjoyable movie. Loved watching the chipmunks doing funny acts and the singing part was fantastic. For those of you who enjoy comedies, this movie is a must watch.
Well there were several other funny moments during the outing which had us laughing our head off. One of them was looking out for a leng chai working in one of the shops. I think Kim made a real fun description of the situation in her blog which can be accessed by the following link. http://kimuberri.blogspot.com/ . And then of course there was the part when we asked my sis about her methods of choosing a book to read and the subsequent question of knowing what is in the contents of the book she bought that day.
This was how Kim put it in her blog.
"in the car, my cousin sis asked her sis whether she know what the book she bought was about and that she didn't buy it just for the looks of the front cover... we quoted this famous but cliched (the 'e' is supposed to have a thing on top but I'm lazy to look for it) phrase: never judge the book by its cover) and her sister replied that she was reading the synopsis (the back of the book now)... lol... then, i asked her that whether she knew that those 'such' books have certain scenes (it's a romance novel, you do the guessing) and she said, "yeah, eventually..."
how we laughed in the car... lol... what an answer, and to think that she's only form 2 next year.. "
Yeap, we definitely laughed in the car.
In a nutshell, am really glad I went out with you guys that day. With Kim going off for National Service for almost 3 months. And Bryan koko going overseas soon in about 2 weeks time. It seems to be such a long time before all of us can gather together again. Thanks once more guys. Gona miss all of you.

Here we have the regular fish and chips
This is some sort of grilled or fried fish with cheese rice which was a super filler for my cousin bro.
We also noticed some rather interesting deco on the wall. couldn't resist asking my cousin bro to snap some pictures.
