Memories
It is still the same old road,
Everything appears the same,
But somehow meaningless beyond a doubt.
Seaching desperately among the crowd,
The smiling face so dear to the heart,
Which is no longer within grasp,
As precious memories flash by,
The emptiness becomes a bigger void,
Everything is just a memory now,
A priceless collection of thoughts,
But I'll hold on dear to them,
As memories are all that's left,
Until the fairytale resumes again,
To chase away the silent tears.
Bringing happiness instead.
Everything appears the same,
But somehow meaningless beyond a doubt.
Seaching desperately among the crowd,
The smiling face so dear to the heart,
Which is no longer within grasp,
As precious memories flash by,
The emptiness becomes a bigger void,
Everything is just a memory now,
A priceless collection of thoughts,
But I'll hold on dear to them,
As memories are all that's left,
Until the fairytale resumes again,
To chase away the silent tears.
Bringing happiness instead.
