The atmosphere at work today (Monday) was somehow, in some ways, different than normal. Apart from the fact that my Supervisor is on leave for two days, it somehow felt so very different and emptier than normal. Reason being, my two mentors, one of which is also my closest friends in uni has finally completed their internship term last week. Everyone, meet Charles and Malini

Farewell lunches / dinner / pantry meet/ photo taking sessions were carried out in abundant till i have lost count myself. All the pictures taken are beautiful memories of the fun times, busy times, happy times and syiok sendiri times that all of us had together for those 6 weeks.

Thank you so much CHARLES and MALINI, for all your teaching, help, encouragement and support.

Am already missing the both of you terribly!!!

It's been a really really long time since I've blogged. I started my internship about a month ago and have been really busy since then. Before that I was busy preparing for finals, and then was busy packing all my property to be brought back home from UTP. That was seriously hard work I tell ya. And before i forget, these are my two internship partners in the same department. Meet Naret and Donovan. :-)

Naret and Donavan.

So anyway, I'm currently doing my Internship with Shell IT- currently undergoing transition to be EDS. My current position is as a GI-NG Deployment Coordinator which basically requires us to do lots of planning and corresponding with lots of people. The story is simply too long to tell.

Pretty gals in influences of white.

Even upon joining for only a month, I have been involved in a whirl of activities such as helping out for the Annual Dinner which was recently held at the KL Convention Center. And it was on a really really grand scale. In total, there were approximately 2044 guests present for the dinner and this was only Shell IT (SITI). There was singing, dancing, speeches, and of course eating. Then more singing and dancing.

One very perasan Charles Tan with me and Era :-P

I've got to say, the singing and dancing was really good. Especially when it was the two Cyberjaya Idol finalists singing. Iris sang so wonderfully, it's no wonder she won the Cyberjaya Idol title.

Iris and her Husband. :-)

And then there was the dancing where several of my friends, Charles, Alvin, Sjoerd and a few other people were performing. The following are some of the performance pictures. I'm sure you'll notice that Charles is appearing in almost every picture. Unfortunately, it can't be helped as most of the dancer pictures were obtained from him. But anyway, here goes. :-)

On the whole, it was definitely a memorable night with and unforgettable experience.

***Special thanks to Era, Charles and Alan who were kind enough to share these pictures :-)

Field trip!!

It was a wonderful field trip. Thanks for the wake up call Dean, might have overslept again if not for the wake up call. Thanks also to Logan who called to check whether we're awake or not.

It was about a 2 hour bus ride up to Camerons. Stopped for 15 mins for breakfast before proceeding to the Habu Power plant. Don't have any pictures to show yet as I forgot to take my camera again.~~~

Anyway, the more exciting part would be after the plant visit. We stopped for lunch and then it was off to the strawberry farm. Everyone went into a strawberry craze buying tons and tons of strawberries. Same goes for me, got some yummy juicy strawberries to munch back in my room for the study week.

There were also lots of flowers sold near the strawberry place. The whole full row of them.

I got myself some flowers too. Lilies... They're sitting right on my table now, and the whole room smells sooo fresh and nice because of them. Aren't they pretty?? :-P

Unfortunately, it started raining right as it was time up for our stop there, so it was straight back to UTP for us due to the unfriendly weather. A memorable and fun experience. Okay, back to studying again.. Finals are COMING~~~~

One and a half months later

Yes yes, it's been a long time since I've updated my blog. Been asked by almost everyone to update for the past few weeks. But guess it can't be helped due to the amount of assignments, tests, vivas and not to mention, project datelines. Currently am still left with 2 more vivas, one and one assignment due on Monday. Huuuuuu.... stressful.

Anyway, today marks the final day of the lecture weeks for this semester. Next up would be study week, and two weeks of final exams. In total, 3 weeks before i finally go back to kl. So looking forward to going back home and starting my internship. :-P

Oh yes, I shall be going for a filed trip to Cameron Highlands power plant on Monday. Should be a wonderful experience. I really want hope that I'll be able to get up though and not miss the bus like for the previous filed trip. To ensure that history does not repeat itself, we have all made arrangements that whoever gets up first on that Monday morning, shall start calling the rest of us. Well that way, we need at least one person to wake up and wake the others up. So look out for pictures regarding the field trip in the following entry.
