Its that time of the semester again, where everyone will be flooding the library, or staying up till goodness knows whatever time in the morning... (Actually, I'm one of those staying up till wee hours of the morning... burning the midnight oil as my mom would say.) Yeap... It's time for....

FINAL EXAMS !!!

Exams started off yest with Probability and Statistics.. Well, it was supposed to be an okay paper, but ended up with being not so okay after all... Sad case really.... And then today there was Communication Systems. Not that bad on the whole, except that my brain chose not to cooperate properly in helping me to recall the definitions to be penned on the paper.. Conclusion is, got quite a number of empty and sad looking holes here and there in my answer booklet. Oh well, that's done... and hopefully for good. Next up, got four more papers to go.. which are

i) Control Systems

ii)Mandarin Language

iii)Analogue Electronics

iv)and of course EMT - Electromagnetic Theory ~~~

---> which is definately gona blow some fuses in my brain..

Oh well, anyway, might not be updating for a while. Supposed to be studying... :-P

Here's to the remaining four papers. Time to start work again.

Last but not least, all the best to all who are sitting for final exams as well. :-)

Inter Campus Gathering 2007 - St Anne

ICG 2007 - Our Faith Our Freedom. It was two years ago since the last ICG which was held at Peace Haven, Genting Highlands. It was such a great experience attending the workshops, praise and worship sessions, dinner sessions and of course, all the socializing and the picture taking sessions with new found friends, long lost friends and unimates. Just like the previous ICG, ICG 2007 was great from all these aspects as well. I met some people who attended the previous ICG. Made more new friends, and had a great time with my unimates as well. All UTP-ians were so outgoing and probably the noisiest and paling semangat of the bunch of people. (Pardon my mixture of Malay there, can't think of a better way to phrase that sentence.)

There were a list of workshops of which each participant was required to attend only four. The four workshps which i attended were War and Peace, Gender Equality, The right to marry as well as Religion in Malaysia. These workshops were all very beneficial in a sense that one might have some basic knowledge regarding the discussed issue, however have never gave more than a second thought to it. However, during these workshops, one is prompted by several questions prepared by the speaker to reflect and ponder about how it might affect us or probably the future generation in the ver near future.

Not forgetting of course, there was the very wonderful and meaningful theme song. All i could say was i totally loved singing it everyday. I have included the lyrics as follows.

There are cries, there are sorrows,

there are people hoping losing hope for tomorrow

Life is just not, an option for them

People keep on living in tears and despair

Jesus came, to bring the good news,

To the poor, marginalized and prisoners

He's the light, the light of the world

to be shared and make it shining everywhere

Hold your steps

Look at people surrounding you

In their hearts, they are thirsting to be free

Let's proclaim, now is the time for freedom and peace

All sing.....

It's our faith, that gives us freedom

Every mankind, every life,

Is precious in God's eyes

We are called, to seek the truth

The truth that sets us free

It's our faith that gives us freedom,

We are voices of the voiceless

We are all children of God

Hold our hands, moving forward

To build kingdom of God

New chapter will begin

J.E.S.U.S He is the way

J.E.S.U.S He is the truth

J.E.S.U.S He is the light

J.E.S.U.S He will set us free

In a nutshell. It was a wonderful and memorable experience. Looking forward for the next ICG in two years time.

Guess thats enough talking. Now it's picture time.

Huhuhuhu, having diarrhea is definately no fun at all!!~~

Basically I am stuck in the room... Or stuck in the Toilet to be more exact. This whole series of unfortunate dealings started sumtime in the wee hours of the morning... Geeezz, cannot even tido properly.. Definately look like a P.A.N.D.A already

And then comes the big question which everyone is bound to ask, ~~~What's the cause of the diarrhea??? ~~~~.

Well, honestly, I have no idea. Am trying to focus more on reducing the visits to the toilet and fixing one super upset tummy.

:-(

Since I'm room bound for the day, take this opportunity to blog about my so very unfortunate day... else kena from people again that blog sudah mati

Penang... Pearl Of the Orient

Unlike the normal Raya breaks for the past 2 years, I decided not to go home for the holidays. But instead, joined the trip to Penang organised by the Catholic Students Society (CSSUTP). Well, did have some nagging sessions from my mom for not going home (ahem... because i know she misses me so much.. :-P ). In the end, I still got to go for the trip. It was basically a two days two night trip, before we headed on for the Inter Campus Gathering (ICG) 2007 which was at Bukit Mertajam. Will elaborate more on ICG 2007 in my following post.

As we all know, Penang is a Food haven. There will be food anywhere and at anytime of the day. Among the Penang dishes that shudn't be missed are of course

i) Penang Char Kuey Teow - translated to be Penang Fried Kuey Teow.
ii)Penang Asam Laksa
iii)Cendol
iv)Samosa

The smell of the Penang Char Keuy Teow was so heavenly when we passed it on the way to SCIC (the place where we were staying during the trip). We were all practically salivating and the rumbling in our super hungry stomachs grew louder by the minute.

Unfortunately, due to the fact that we were like starving refugees when we arrived at Penang on the first day, we wolved down the food the moment it arrived.. :-P
Therefore, didn't manage to take a picture of the yummy yummy char kuey teow. (It was one of the nicest char key teow i've tasted. But probably the fact that i was super hungry enhanced the taste. )

the organising commitee prepared a treasure hunt around Penang island for the second day of the trip to guide us to the famous tourist spots around the Island. Among these spots were Little India, Penang Street, Komtar, Prangin Mall, Quessnsbay Megamall and many more.

The following are the pictures which we took throughout the trip.

A taste of Penang Cendol..

Apparently, quite a number of famous people have tasted the cendol from this particular stall... Eg: Phua Chu Kang

Introducing... Samosa (Chicken flavour). :-P

Some other indian delicacies (Sorry, didn't manage to find out the name)

Queensbay Megamall.. reminds me of Mid Valley Megamall.
